A central Ohio woman made good use of a firearm her concerned son had purchased for her just a week earlier, and very possibly saved her life in the process.
The Columbus homeowner heard glass breaking near her front entrance and went to investigate — after first grabbing the gun she’d received from her son, according to WBNS Channel 10 TV News.
When she arrived, she saw an intruder inside a broken front window.
“She was armed and apparently fired multiple shots at him,” Columbus Police Sgt. Dave Sicilia told the station.
It turned out that the burglar had just been chased from another home invasion across the street.
The burglary suspect, identified as 28-year-old Christopher Lee Willis, was pronounced dead.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one and don’t have one, chances are good you’ll never need one again.
One Ohio homeowner was fortunate that she had one when she needed it.
