800,000 Obamacare enrollees get wrong info on tax form; geniuses make it worse ‘#Fustercluck’

It is astounding that there are sentient beings among us that want the federal government to control their healthcare when it seems like it couldn’t run a paper route.

The Associated Press reported Friday that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the organization whose job it is to send the tax information to those who have purchased Obamacare, sent incorrect information to a whopping 800,000 customers.

The mistake is going to cause a delay in tax filing as those who received the errant forms cannot file until they receive the correct information, around the first of March.

Predictably the Twitterverse skewered the latest setback to the unpopular healthcare law.

Fortunately the much ballyhooed healthcare.gov website issued an explanation that ought to clear everything up.

Most people received a correct Form 1095-A. However, if we contact you because your Form 1095-A is incorrect, here’s why. Some forms included the monthly premium amount of the second lowest cost Silver plan for 2015 instead of 2014, which needs to be corrected. The incorrect amount is listed in Part III, Column B of the Form 1095-A. We’re working quickly to resolve this and any other issues with the 1095-A forms. This does not mean that your tax credit was incorrect; this is purely an error in what was printed on the form.

WHAT?

Oh yeah that won’t confuse anyone.
