Creepy ‘Uncle Joe’ ups the ick factor in latest swearing-in ceremony photo

Tuesday’s swearing-in ceremony of Ashton Carter as the 25th secretary of defense took an odd and somewhat slimy turn when Vice President Joe Biden expressed an apparent appreciation for Mrs. Carter.

Democrats may simply chalk it up to another case of “Joe being Joe,” but most should agree that it all comes off as — well — too creepy for words.

The Huffington Post’s Jennifer Bendery caught it all on film and shared it on Twitter:

Neither the new defense secretary nor his wife appear particularly pleased with Biden’s affections, and it would seem the perfect vehicle for a “caption this photo” contest.

Novelist Brad Thor let us all knew we’re in real trouble:

Soon everyone picked up on it.

And with that, I have one final note to Biden: I hope to never hear the words “War on Women” pass your lips again
