Although the responsibilities of parenthood can be both intimidating and rewarding, they’re seldom praised or recognized by others — especially strangers.
Not so for one single father, who took his little 6-year-old girl out for a Valentine’s Day “date” at a nice restaurant. Another couple noticed, penned this note and had their waiter deliver it to the dad.

The note reads:
Hi there!
Sorry to spy, but my husband and I saw you out with your little date and were so impressed with what a great Dad you are.
From two adults who grew up without dads, it’s so important to have a male role model at a young age.
Keep up the good work Dad!
Dinner is on us!
Later that evening, he posted a photo of the note on imgur.com, together with this message:
“As a single dad, I took my six year old daughter out to valentines dinner tonight when this happened,” he wrote. “I wont lie, I teared up at the table. So, thank you random strangers. Thank you.”
Bravo, Dad!
