CNN Money under fire for moronic tweet; what were they thinking?

In what can only be described as a classless move, CNN Money sent out a tweet urging the social media world to remember the journalists Americans lost this week. Sadly, disgraced NBC News anchor Brian Williams and satirist Jon Stewart were listed among some venerable names in the business.

This week, we lost Brian Williams, Jon Stewart, Bob Simon and David Carr in one way or another,” the tweet said.

Whoever approved the tweet needs to be fired.

How can anyone compare the tragic deaths of legendary journalists Simon and Carr to a disgraced news anchor caught lying to the public and a comedian who isn’t even a journalist?

The tweet has since been deleted, so someone at CNN must have come to his or her senses.
