President Obama used an interview with the website BuzzFeed to appear in a video released Thursday that showed he’s really just like every other American.
He does stupid things when he’s by himself, like mugging for the mirror. (He gets to see his favorite performer that way.)
He tries to look tough. (Though adversaries like Vladimir Putin and allies like Benjamin Netanyahu do it better.)
And most of all, when things go wrong, he blames Obama.
It’s one of the rare times he’s telling the truth.
The bright young Obamaphiles at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. probably thought it was a stroke of genius. And the Obamaphiles in the media — like the publicly supported NPR — thought it gave the White House “exactly what it wanted.”
True enough — if mockery was what the White House wanted. Because mockery is what it got.
First, the platitudes.
At 3.7 million views and counting, the White House is getting exactly what it wanted with the president’s funny Buzzfeed video.

So, the libs at NPR love it. And the lefties at Mother Jones think it’s awesome that the president of the United States has the Internet “freaking out.”
But for saner adults, the reaction to the latest display of presidential foolishness was a combination of sadness and mockery. Sadness for the dignity of the office; mockery for the man who n0w holds it.
@tamarakeithNPR Yeah, the Obama Administration needed more people laughing & pointing at it over its priorities. Great job being a joke!

People slowing down to gawk at my smashed-up car @neontaster, doesn’t mitigate the horrible accident @tamarakeithNPR.

But mockery really was only half of it.

But only two more years to go.
