Dana Perino nearly unable to breathe: Obama ‘owes the Jews of Europe an apology’

Dana Perino was furious.

“I’ve been nearly unable to breathe,” the co-host of Fox News Channel’s “The Five” said of the administration’s attempt to explain President Obama’s inability to admit that the victims of an Islamist terrorist’s attack on a kosher supermarket in Paris were killed because they were Jews.

“A bunch of violent, vicious zealots … who randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris,” is how Obama described the event in a Jan. 23 Vox interview, published two weeks later.

“They’re arguing about the president’s adverbs,” Perino said, and then noted, “They go back to their desks and tweet something that says, ‘We have been perfectly clear all along that this was an act of anti-Semitism’” as if nothing that was said in the news briefings had any significance.

In the case of the White House briefing, spokesman Josh Earnest spent seven minutes sparring over the president’s words.

“I actually think the president owes the Jews of Europe an apology,” Perino concluded.

Josh Earnest up until this round has been pretty darned good, I think,” said co-host Eric Bolling. “This Josh Earnest that we just saw, today, reminded me of Jay Carney.”

“This is not a White House; this is an outhouse,” said Greg Gutfeld.

Even the show’s resident liberal and administration apologist was taken aback.

“How you can stand there and say this is a Jewish, kosher deli,” he asked. “What are the chances that the people in that delicatessen are Jewish? Pretty high, don’t you think?”
