Jordan is making good on its threat of revenge for the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot by the Islamic State.
The Jordanian air force killed 55 ISIS fighters, including a top-level Islamic State leader known as the “Prince of Nineveh” in air strikes carried out Wednesday, according to Iraqi media.
Following a meeting King Abdullah had with senior Jordanian military officials Wednesday, Information Minister Mohammad al-Momani spoke to the press.

Jordan is “more determined than ever to fight the terrorist group Daesh,” he said, using an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State.
A Jordanian government spokesman told Reuters that the Middle Eastern kingdom will increase its role in the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS and that they are leaving all options on the table.
The air strikes follow the execution of two ISIS prisoners earlier in the day.
Sajida al-Rishawi, the failed suicide bomber ISIS asked for in exchange for the Jordanian pilot and Zaid Karbouli, a close aid to the Jordanian-born terror mastermind Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, were both executed by hanging in the early morning hours Wednesday.
One thing is for certain.
Abdullah is setting an example on fighting ISIS that other leaders should follow. Particularly the one who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
