Animated sign language guy steals the show at de Blasio presser

It’s not easy to take attention away from an announcement of a storm that is predicted to cover a major city in three feet of snow, but one man did just that.

Jonathan Lamberton, sign language interpreter for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, took the spotlight at the mayor’s press conference announcing the severity of the impending storm.

Lamberton’s outrageous facial expressions and theatrical movements lit up social media with commentary.

And this isn’t the first time Lamberton has trended on social media for his dramatic sign language performances.

In October he was a popular social media figure following de Blasio’s press conference on the Ebola situation in the city.
