Totally nuts! University pushing policy forcing professors to call on women first in class

In yet another liberal attempt at social engineering, a Canadian university is pushing its professors to call on women in class before allowing men to comment or answer questions.

Ladies first” has assumed a greater importance in higher education.

“There are a lot of studies that indicate women, girls are socialized not to speak first … and so to make a conscious rule, a deliberate rule that is explicit, that ‘no men are allowed to speak first,’ is certainly a strong way of addressing the issue,” according to Professor Jacqueline Warwick of Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.

National Review reporter Katherine Timpf told the crew at Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” Sunday that the proposed rule was “totally nuts,” and would have the exact opposite of its desired effect. The rule would only “reinforce the point of view that women are weak,” she said.

“I kind of like the idea of demure women,” co-host Tucker Carlson confessed, adding that, “I never meet any.”

Carlson also noted that the proposed rule’s premise “flies in the face of reality,” which is that “girls are way ahead by every measure.”
