Gwen Graham draws fire from Democrats for Keystone and other GOP-leaning votes – U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham is under fire from Democrats for votes in favor of the Keystone pipeline, to roll back Wall Street reforms and other issues, illustrating the difficulty she faces in a district with a sizable conservative base. The rift is evident on Facebook. Florida Democratic chair Allison Tant posted a photo of her and Graham on Tuesday and the comment section filled up with negative assessments of Graham, who took the Congressional District 2 seat from GOP incumbent Steve Southerland. “Yeah it’s a great picture, now what about this Keystone pipeline crap?” one person wrote. Alan Grayson’s wife of 24 years was ever really his wife at all. In the latest twist to the ugly divorce proceedings between Grayson and his estranged wife, Lolita, Lolita Grayson required emergency surgery Monday to remove leaking implants and scar tissue, the Associated Press reported. Coast Guard steps up patrols off Florida as US, Cuba spar over migration policy in Havana – The United States said Wednesday it dispatched additional ships to the Florida Straits to halt Cuban rafters but rebuffed demands for broader changes to U.S. migration rules that dominated the first day of talks between Cuban officials and the highest-ranking U.S. delegation to the island in more than three decades. Cuba urged the U.S. to end immigration privileges that grant virtually automatic legal residency to any Cuban who touches U.S. soil. Its government blames the Cold War policy for luring tens of thousands of Cubans a year to make perilous journeys by sea and land to try to reach the United States. Read more
