White man shoots black cop in apparent frame-up raid; hypocrites cry ‘racism’ that he’s not charged

The left’s hypocrisy was on full display last week, when outrage erupted once again over a police-involved shooting. Only this time, a black officer in Oklahoma was shot by a white civilian.

It may have been the first time liberals came to a cop’s defense.

So, all cops aren’t racist, after all?

Sentinel Police Chief Louis Ross was hit three times in the chest and once in the arm Thursday after answering two calls about a bomb threat and breaking down the door of a man identified by neighbors as Dallas Horton, The Oklahoman reported.

In the early-morning 911 calls, the caller said a bomb was planted at the Sentinel Community Action Center, which houses the city’s Head Start program. The bomb squad found no such device, according to The Oklahoman.

Responding officers went to the Horton’s home to investigate.

Ross, accompanied by Washita County deputies, cleared one room and entered the bedroom, where he was shot by Horton, the Oklahoman reported.

The chief was wearing a bulletproof vest and, after being treated for the wound to his arm, he was released from the hospital.

Horton, who was described by neighbors as a survivalist who often wears black, was briefly taken into custody. He was later released without being charged for the shooting or the bomb threat.

“The man who shot and wounded the Sentinel police chief will not be arrested at this time,” a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said, according to The Oklahoman. “OSBI investigators have extensively interviewed the man. Facts surrounding the case lead agents to believe the man was unaware it was officers who made entry.”

Officials found no evidence to suggest Horton was responsible for the bomb threat, the release said.

“That call was not made from phones in the possession of those who live inside the home,” it said. “Nor any other phones inside the residence.”

The fact that no bomb was found, and the caller specifically identified himself as Horton, led some bloggers and gun activist websites to speculate that Horton might have been set up — for a potentially fatal encounter with authorities.

Of course, that didn’t stop racial “activists” from consulting their grievance playbook.

Perhaps that’s because Horton didn’t execute anyone in a car, but instead shot someone he believed had broken into his house.

There is no evidence to suggest Horton is a Republican, but, hey, this is Twitter, so you can say anything.
