Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro summed up the Obama administration’s handling of the war on terror Saturday night with one brutally frank statement: “We are not winning.”

Pirro used the opening remarks of her show to indict the president’s lack of a strategy for dealing with the global threat of Islamic terrorism.

The United States cannot continue to release prisoners from Guantanamo Bay without imposing conditions on the nations receiving the prisoners, Pirro said.

“If Qatar, to whom the five terrorists were released in the trade for the alleged deserter [Sgt. Bowe] Bergdahl, does not monitor those terrorists, and they then return to the battlefield, then all funding to Qatar should be cut off,” she said by way of example.

The judge offered her most withering assessment to date on America’s status.

“We’re not winning the war on terror,” she said. “Whether it’s the refusal to accurately identify our enemy or the failure to have a strategy that recognizes both the danger and reach of that enemy, we’re just not winning.”
