It’s not just conservatives John Boehner has to worry about, and the nutcases aren’t all in the Democrat Party.
A mentally troubled former bartender at an Ohio country club the House speaker belongs to is suspected of plotting to poison the speaker or shoot him because voices from his car radio told him to.
According to CBS News, the Jan. 7 indictment states Michael Hoyt told authorities he’d had opportunities to poison Boehner on numerous occasions that he waited on him at the Wetherington Country Club in West Chester.
He also said he believed Boehner was somehow responsible for the spread of the Ebola virus, and had otherwise not treated him well at the club, CBS reported.
However, Boehner told investigators he knew Hoyt, but didn’t recall any negative run-ins with him, the Washington Times reported.
“Speaker Boehner is aware of this situation, and sincerely thanks the FBI, the Capitol Police, and local authorities in Ohio for their efforts,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said.
According to CBS, Hoyt has a history of mental illness, and had apparently been on a psychotropic dug prescription he’d stopped taking.
Hoyt taken into custody Oct. 29 after reporting his anti-Boehner fantasies to police Deer Park, Ohio. An Oct. 31 search of his Cincinnati home turned up “an SKS assault rifle magazine and loose rounds, 2 boxes of ammunition, 35 loose rounds and a speed loader, and box of .380 caliber rounds,” CBS reported.
The search also turned up a notebook containing items on “John Boehner” and “Ebola,” CBS reported, along two envelopes with lists of country club members.
Hoyt was ordered transferred to the Federal Bureau of Prisons in December for evaluation, according to Reuters. There was no indication that evaluation had been completed.
So it’s really not just conservatives John Boehner has to worry about, and the nutcases aren’t all in the Democrat Party.
But it might be one more reason to wish Harry Reid wasn’t a Mormon.
Libs, as usual, piled on the story with the usual liberal wit.
