Rupert Murdoch on Friday called for Muslims to “recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer” or “be held responsible.”
He followed that tweet with another bashing political correctness.
By Sunday, several shots had been taken at the media giant for his tweet. Among them “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling.
Rowling sarcastically took the blame for the Spanish Inquisition, given that she is a Christian.
Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.

Big jihadist danger looming everywhere from Philippines to Africa to Europe to US.
Political correctness makes for denial and hypocrisy.

I was born Christian. If that makes Rupert Murdoch my responsibility, I'll auto-excommunicate. http://t.co/Atw1wNk8UX

.@dom209 The Spanish Inquisition was my fault, as is all Christian fundamentalist violence. Oh, and Jim Bakker.
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) January 11, 2015
The author also pointed out that more Muslims have died at the hands of jihadists than anyone else which would seem to support Murdoch’s assertion that they ought to do more to eradicate the problem.
.@peeyushmalhotra Eight times more Muslims have been killed by so-called Islamic terrorists than non-Muslims. http://t.co/JXLfZOmcKl

Several tweeters took sides.
@jk_rowling @peeyushmalhotra Of course not all Muslims want to repress women and kill blasphemers & gays. But they promote a book that does

@rupertmurdoch @jk_rowling Simply read Qur'an, Sharia Law, and Hadith and you will understand Mr. Murdoch is correct http://t.co/4M1vAyBGEj

.@rupertmurdoch is right – and instead of condemning radical islam, you imbeciles act as if HE is the problem. Get a grip already!

@rupertmurdoch is right. Muslims have to take responsibility for terrorism. They can reject #salafi Nazi #Islamism & terrorism. Most don't.

@jk_rowling @1101110112 and he doesn't blame all Christians for the killings done by a few extremist Christians.

@rupertmurdoch Maybe most journalists are honest but then they must be held responsible for YOUR phone hacking scandal…?
— Sheenie Shaikh (@SheenieShaikh) January 11, 2015
@rupertmurdoch Maybe?! Surely no maybe about it. Surely most Muslims are peaceful.
