‘Disturbing image’ painted on school sparks outrage; angel holding police at gunpoint

How creepy is this?

An image of an angel – complete with a halo – holding a cop at gunpoint was spray painted on the wall of a school within eyeshot of a Detroit police precinct.

The image on the wall of the Plymouth Education Center, was painted over on Tuesday and it wasn’t clear how long it had been on the wall, but Fox 2 reported it was probably painted after the assassination of two New York City police officers in their patrol car Dec. 20.

“I don’t believe, looking at the painting, that God would give an angel a gun to shoot a police officer,” Assistant Detroit Police Chief Steve Dulant told the station. “I think God gives angels to police officers to try to protect them.”

The image had Twitter users outraged.
