Looking to take advantage of the racial animosity he helped create, Al Sharpton‘s National Action Network held a protest Saturday in Washington, D.C., and from the look of things, the event did not get off to a smooth start.
Not only was there an apparent tussle between organizers and protesters over a “VIP Section” — little did we know the aggrieved could be so refined — there was also a battle over the microphone.
Protesters who say they were on the ground in Ferguson, Mo., stormed the stage at the “National March Against Police Violence,” and took the microphone from National Action Network members, according to WeaselZippers. A glimpse of the excitement was captured on video:
In the age of smart phones and social media, tweets rang out describing what was happening, proving that disaster is usually not far behind most things that Sharpton is involved in.
