They say everything is bigger in Texas, and while many a GOP lawmaker took to the airwaves Thursday night to bluster following President Barack Obama’s announcement on immigration, Texas Governor-elect Greg Abbott took a bigger swing when he said he will challenge Obama in court.

“I am prepared to immediately challenge President Obama in court,” said the man on the front lines of the immigration fiasco.

Abbott also turned to Twitter to get the message out, and his supporters were quick to respond:

“President Obama has circumvented Congress and deliberately bypassed the will of the American people, eroding the very foundation of our nation’s Constitution and bestowing a legacy of lawlessness,”Abbott said. “Texans have witnessed firsthand the costs and consequences caused by President Obama’s dictatorial immigration policy and now we must work together toward a solution in fixing our broken immigration system.”

For now, Abbott is still the attorney general in Texas and he said he’ll look to the courts to provide the solution.

“Following tonight’s pronouncement, I am prepared to immediately challenge President Obama in court, securing our state’s sovereignty and guaranteeing the rule of law as it was intended under the Constitution,” Abbott said.
