Bone-chilling Facebook picture is grieving Dad’s way of saving lives

Post by DrMike Gramps Stollings.

The deadly drug world came to life in horrifying detail recently, when an Ohio father posted a Facebook video of his son’s lifeless body.

Englewood resident Mike Stollings’ message: Beware all those who dare to dabble in drugs, the Independent Journal Review reported.

“look i know that not everybody that takes drugs is going to die from it. but many do,” Stollings said in the post that accompanied the video of Jeramie Stollings’ dead body. “jeramie thought he had it under control. he thought he was smarter than the drug and had more control than the drug. now he is in a refrigerator in a funeral home in englewood. “

The younger Stollings was a new dad to a 10-month-old son named Asher. His father wondered what life will be like for his grandson now that he lost his dad before he got a chance to know him, the Review reported.

Stollings said his son was ”open about his relationship with LSD,” but “he was a little more quiet about his love for Dextromethorphan,” the active ingredient in many over-the-counter cough medicines, including Robitussin, NyQuil, Vicks and Delsym. Overdose deaths from the drug are rare and are often cause by mixing it with other drugs, according to the U.S Department of Justice.

Jeramie Stollings’ father begged others to seek help and to discourage drug use among their friends. That’s a tall order in a world where popular music stars like Miley Cyrus, Eminem, Kanye West, Rihanna and others glorify the use of recreational drugs.

Stollings, meanwhile, is left to face heartbreaking questions about whether he could have intervened.

“I’ll spend the rest of my days on this Earth racking my brain trying to figure out what I should have done differently,” he told the Dayton TV station, WHIO.
