Who knew ‘walking in New York City’ could be so popular?
A video of Shoshana B. Roberts, a 24-year-old actress, walking in New York City over a period of 10 hours has taken the nation by storm, and prompted a well-deserved parody from a man’s point of view.
The video captured more than 100 instances of catcalls and other verbal street harassment that Roberts endured, which the producer said didn’t include “the countless winks, whistles, etc.”
While the video was a serious effort to highlight how women are treated, Funny Or Die News did a follow video of happens to a white man walking the streets of New York City. Needless to say the contrast is striking, if not hilarious.
Of course, there’s little truth to it, white privilege notwithstanding.
The original video was all the talk on social media, and it didn’t take long for politics to be added tot he mix. Funny, but there seemed to be a consistent theme. See if you can pick up on it in these responses, as seen on Twitter:
It’s worth noting that the catcalling video was filmed in one of the most Liberal cities in the country.

@JustEric @instapundit If it was filmed in Salt Lake, would just be a bunch of nice guys opening doors. Sure would piss of feminists, tho!

@JustEric Honestly, you don’t see this type of behavior too much in the South. Due to conservative area you think, or something else? — Standard Deviation (@incoherent_rage) October 30, 2014
I would bet 309809583409583459 dollars that not a single guy in the cat call video voted for Romney. — Lyndsey Fifield (@lyndseyfifield) October 30, 2014
Considering that the cat calling video was made in New York, most of the men in it are democrats.

In a series of tweets, comedian Steven Crowder noted that his wife had her own take on events and it had nothing to do with politics.
“The whole point to this girl uploading the video is to try and convince everyone she’s hot” – My wife.
— Steven Crowder (@scrowder) October 30, 2014
“If she were standing next to a prettier woman who got the cat calls, she’d be upset and jealous. Totally different vid” – My wife.

And just in case you are not among the almost 24 million who’ve already seen the video that started all the chatter, here it is again:
Filth-mouthed Ferguson protesters threaten
cops’ wives, children — and it’s all on video
