It may come as a surprise to some that the most popular person at a Republican fundraiser in Coral Gables Friday was not the gubernatorial candidate who was the guest of honor.
Instead, heads turned when Miami native Armando Christian Pérez, who most know as Pitbull, posted a photo with Gov. Rick Scott, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera and state Rep. Erik Fresen to his Twitter account, which said:

Voting records show Pitbull is registered to vote in Miami-Dade County, without political-party affiliation, according to the Miami Herald.
