Bristol Palin cuts loose, shreds lib media for persecuting family with ‘brawl’ mockery

Bristol Palin comes by it honest.

collagebristolpalincarolcostello1023Fed up and furious with the liberal media’s shabby treatment of her family for the past six years, culminating in disgraceful coverage of a street fight that started with a family friend taking a cheap shot from behind that caused a wound that needed 10 stitches to close, the daughter of Sarah and Todd Palin lashed out in a blog post Wednesday at a media that chooses “to put the Palins in an entirely different category of people.”

Palin doesn’t mention CNN’s Carol Costello by name, but the anchor’s treatment of the story, including mocking the young woman on the air, was particularly appalling. (And her grudging apology issued  Thursday in Politico was hardly the kind to actually smooth the waters.)

First, Palin tells the story of the brawl in its entirety – including how it started as a surprise party for her father that was ruined by a man she describes as a social media whore, striking the family friend to start a tangle with the Palin clan as a ticket to cheap Internet celebrity.

(Note: Strong language ahead.)

Why would anyone do this?  Well, here’s a hint.  The guy was on social media during this incident, tweeting, “about to get famous.”

Palin describes how her sister, Willow Palin, tried to get the assailant’s mother to calm her son down, only to be pushed to the ground by the woman.

And when Palin tried to get out of a car to help, she was confronted by another man.

… a guy in his late thirties or early forties got in my face.  He was towering over me – probably at 6 foot something and over 200 pounds. He puffed his chest out and started yelling.

“You c-nt!” he looked right in my eyes and said.  “Get the f-ck out of here, you slut!”

But the daughter of a woman who has scared and angered liberals in America ever since she burst onto the public stage in 2008 wasn’t backing down without a fight.  (Pause for a second and ask yourself what would have happened if a stranger had spoken to any Hollywood celebrity’s child that way.)

I was alarmed that things had gotten so bad so fast.  But it got even worse when this guy started pushing me.  He had his hands on me, pushing me down.  That’s when I swung and hit his face.

Some would say I should’ve never retaliated in defense against him, but certainly he should never have pushed a girl.   It didn’t phase him.  He pushed me down to the ground and kept me there.

It was scary and awful.  He held me down until someone got me out of the situation.

It’s a story any man would be infuriated by if it happened to his sister. And any man would have been proud of a woman who refused to be attacked without fighting back.

But that’s not how the liberal media played it, of course. And that’s what angered Bristol Palin more than the incident itself.

Just look at how the Palins are treated compared to the family of another woman who’s played a dominant role in American politics the past two decades.

Here’s the thing.  Violence against women is never okay…  Even if that violence occurs against conservative women.  Imagine for a second the outrage that would happen if Chelsea Clinton had gotten pushed by some guy.  Had she tried to defend herself, the liberal media would’ve held her up as some feminist hero.

But it wasn’t Chelsea.

It wasn’t Hillary.

It wasn’t someone they liked or someone they agreed with.

It was a conservative.

And once again, the hypocrisy of the media is laid bare.

And there’s not a man or woman in the news business who doesn’t know that’s true.

Even if they don’t admit it.

The Twitter world, of course, has plenty to say on the subject.

This one pretty well sums it up.
