If you had any doubt as to the president’s plans for immigration policy after the midterms, wonder no more.
The administration has begun plans to issue millions of work permits following the November elections, suggesting an executive amnesty plan may already be in motion, Breitbart reported.
The website has uncovered a draft solicitation for bids posted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services advising potential vendors that they must be able to handle a surge of nine million such cards in two years.
“The guaranteed minimum for each ordering period is 4,000,000 cards. The estimated maximum for the entire contract is 34,000,000 cards,” the document reads, according to Breitbart.
The agency is buying materials needed to make Permanent Residency Cards and Employment Authorization Documentation, which are used for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
It “seems to indicate that the president is contemplating an enormous executive action that is even more expansive than the plan that Congress rejected in the ‘Gang of Eight’ bill,” Jessica Vaughan, an immigration expert at the Center for Immigration Studies and former State Department official, told Breitbart.
According to Vaughn, the employment documents are the subject of scrutiny as the administration uses them to provide legalization to those short of green card status.
Vaughn told Breitbart that there are 4.5 million people who actually followed immigration law waiting for their green cards. That’s less than the surge of illegals the president is preparing to document in this surge.
