The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a new ad featuring President Obama doing what he does best: Campaigning.
But did he just call Democrat voters stupid?
“Most of our Democrat voters aren’t aware there’s even an election on November 4,” Obama proclaimed. Wow.
This ad was aimed at the 2014-midterm elections. Recent polls show that the Democrats may have a run for their money when it comes to maintaining majority in the Senate come November. Races are tightening in crucial states like Colorado and Iowa. Consequently, liberals are freaking out.
“Well I’m working every day to move our country forward, “Obama said in the ad. “I can’t do it alone.”
Obama has certainly been working every day– if you consider nearly 200 rounds of golf and constant fundraising all in a hard day’s work.
The Fundraiser-in-Chief used his classic campaign tactic: Blaming Republicans.
“I need partners in Congress who will work with me. But here’s the thing. Instead of rolling up their sleeves to move this country forward, we have a Republican congress that does everything in their power to block progress. They were even willing to go as far as shutting down the government. Their actions are hurting our families.”
The President clearly doesn’t appreciate the beauty of America’s system of checks and balances. He’s upset he can’t do whatever he wants when he wants, but that’s precisely the point. Besides, when has that ever stopped him from using his pen and phone before?
Obama has done everything except move the country forward, especially in the last few months. He begrudgingly admitted that something needs to be done about the Islamic State, but he also seems care more about the risk of climate change than actual threats right on our doorstep.
But the fact that the Democrats are campaigning g so hard is a telling. They’re scared that Republicans have a fighting chance of taking over the Senate in the midterm elections.
