Radical cleric who warned Sean Hannity ‘Shariah law is coming’ arrested in London anti-terror raid

Choudary1Radical Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary has been arrested in London on suspicion of terrorism.

Last month, Choudary gained American attention after ranting in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity about how beheadings are permissible under Islamic law. He also defended Islamic State militants and made light of the 9/11 attacks.

“Eventually, the world’s going to wake up,” Hannity told Choudary, “and every radical Islamist like you will be wiped off the face of the Earth.”

An anti-terror raid in London on Wednesday resulted in the arrests of nine suspected members of the 4 UK terrorist group, Fox News reported.

Choudary, who said he has no pity for a British aid worker recently threatened by Islamic State with beheading, is the former leader of 4 UK, which was banned by the British government in 2010, according to Fox News.

The raid took place as British lawmakers prepare to vote on whether the United Kingdom will join the U.S.-led campaign in Syria and Iraq against the Islamic State.
