Bush, Clinton joint interview: Bill reveals something George did they never talked about before in public

Former Presidents George W.  Bush and Bill Clinton gave a light-hearted interview Monday promoting their joint leadership project.

In the sit-down session of humorous banter at the Newseum, the Washington museum for news and journalism, Clinton revealed that Bush used to call him about twice a year in Dubya’s second term “just to talk.”

“We’d talk, depending on how much time he had, because he was busier than me — somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes –  for several years,” Clinton said in the video found on TheBushCenter  YouTube page.

“It meant a lot to me,” he continued.”We never talked about it, we never talked about it in public. We talked about everything in the right world,” Clinton said. “He asked my opinion. Half the time he disagreed with it, but I felt good about that.”

The hour-long video includes the joint interview at the 23-minute mark. The revelation came at around the 30-minute mark.
