If an ugly sculpture is unveiled and no one is there to see it, is it still ugly?
Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy attended the unveiling of a sculpture made entirely of “illegal” gun parts obtained from buy-back programs, but it appears someone forgot to alert the public.
Four years in the making, artist Michael Kalish‘s goal was to be “creatively disruptive and bring people together.” But he needed guns, and lots of them.
For this he turned to Jessica Mindich, a gun control advocate in Newark, N.J., who runs voluntary gun buyback programs, CTNewsJunkie.com reported.
Mindich was happy to help out, even though she was concerned that the “angry energy and the pain coming from this metal” might “scar” the artist.
Aside from the lack of people, other than politicians eager for a photo op, the planners may want to rethink utilizing a white sheet to cover the “art work,” as seen in this tweet from the governor:

As other tweets attest, as documented by Twitchy.com, anti-gun artwork is a big deal in the liberal bastions of Connecticut:

But as Abraham Lincoln once proclaimed: “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” And a few Twitter users were quick to let this be known:
Did #BullyMoms pal @LelandYee donate the illegal guns, @WAGV? Or was it Holder? #gunsense

@ChrisMurphyCT I’d like to see a similar one made from shredded self-serving Democrat Senators. Those guns weren’t illegal. You bought them!

@ChrisMurphyCT I dont know how you could call 2000 guns illegal, and not have made any arrests if they were from a buyback! But Im no lawyer — Joe (@joenct) September 3, 2014

@GovMalloyOffice Bushnell Park is a gun free zone. I guess the state can get away with violating its own laws though. — Jake hobart (@Jakehobart222) September 3, 2014
