Hey, maybe they’re not all as stupid as we think.
Hollywood luminaries Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Kelsey Grammer and even a nauseating liberal like Bill Maher are among the nearly 200 bold-faced names who have signed a pro-Israel anti-Hamas document, originated by the Creative Community for Peace.
The carefully crafted petition reads in part, “Hamas cannot be allowed to rain rockets on Israeli cities, nor can it be allowed to hold its own people hostage. Hospitals are for healing, not for hiding weapons. Schools are for learning, not for launching missiles,” according to Variety.
Other signers include actors Seth Rogen, Amy Pascal, Minnie Driver, Josh Charles, left-wing flingers Sarah Silverman and Roseanne Barr, directors Ivan Reitman and William Friedkin, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, and studio executives Ryan Kavanaugh and Sherry Lansing.
Creative Community chairman David Renzer and his advisory board made the right phone calls to get the campaign rolling, while showbiz lawyers Fred Toczek and Patti Felker circulated the document and spread the word.
Movie industry workers from all capacities signed on to denounce “Hamas’ ideologies of hatred and genocide,” and CCFP director Lana Melman asked art and music aficionados to join their heroes at hashtag #CCFPand Friends.
As waves of anti-Semitism engulf Europe and the fighting in Gaza shows no sign of surcease, Stallone and friends have no shortage of plot material for Expendables 4 if they want to get real.
