Greg Gutfeld slams pompous media cop-bashers as only he can

Heavy on the sarcasm, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld posted a series of tweets Saturday on the criticism directed at the police in response to the ongoing civil unrest in Ferguson, Mo.

Ironically, police were first accused of being heavy-handed with protesters, and then questioned for being passive when more looting took place Friday night.

In a familiar rush to judgement, the liberal media has cast the police in the role of George Zimmerman as they try to elevate Michael Brown to Trayvon Martin-like status.

In an editorial published Thursday in Front Page Magazine, Matthew Vadum, author of the book, “Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts Are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers,” noted that the left is looking to use events in Ferguson “to advance its destructive, racially polarizing agenda.”

“It is no secret that radicals want blacks to hate the police because it makes it easier to fan the flames of discontent,” Vadum said. “The leftist narrative is that the police are ‘pigs,’ the armed wing of the white capitalist class that oppresses poor blacks.”

Nonetheless, Gutfeld’s message was not lost on his Twitter followers, based on some of the responses:
