Video: Teachers union president goes ballistic!

A  teachers union president was so incensed over debate about Common Core that he threatened those who would dare criticize the educational mandate.

“If someone takes something from me, I’m going to grab it right back out of their cold, twisted, sick hands and say it is mine! You do not take what is mine,” said Michael Mulgrew, president of the United Federation of Teachers, according to video of the rant posted Thursday by the New York Daily News. “And I’m going to punch you in the face and push you in the dirt because this is the teachers’!”

The comments, made last month at a Los Angeles convention, came during debate on whether the union should continue its support of Common Core despite disappointment in its rollout, the Daily News reported.

“It was scary,” one anonymous convention-goer told the Daily News. “People were saying that he shouldn’t be around children.”
