You only get one chance to make a first impression, and a teacher in Oklahoma made her first day on the job one that will be talked about for years to come.

Newly hired high school teacher Lorie Hill was arrested Monday, first day of school for teachers, for public intoxication and not wearing any pants, KOKI Fox 23 reported.

According to the local Fox affiliate, two fellow teachers found Hill in an empty classroom she had claimed for her own and called police.

“They didn’t know who she was, she was apparently new and was supposed to start yesterday,” Wagoner Police Chief Bob Haley told KOKI.

Hill confessed to her deed, although it’s not clear why she removed her pants.

“When our officers interviewed her she did admit to having had some vodka yesterday morning before she came to school,” Haley said.

It was a “professional day” for teachers, so no students were assaulted by the spectacle.
