The Cold War has moved to social media, as a Russian official dropped a Twitter bomb Friday challenging President Obama’s masculinity.
Russia’s deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin tweeted this on Friday:
We have different values and allies pic.twitter.com/aJ1312jJNx
— Dmitry Rogozin (@DRogozin) July 31, 2014
The tweet is part of a long-running Kremlin campaign to make Russian President Vladimir Putin look tough. This time it attempted “making the American president look like the 90-pound McFly,” according to Fox News.
But American disdain for Putin overcame any negative feelings toward Obama when Twitter users responded with these tweets:
@DRogozin Correction. You don’t have ANY values. #fascist

@jc_stubbs @DRogozin Yes, that dog didn’t have to be tranquilized for a posed shot. Our values are different, indeed. — Julia Davis (@JuliaDavisNews) July 31, 2014
@DRogozin @margbrennan says more about people who post it. — John Daly (@johndalytv) July 31, 2014
@DRogozin “Ouch. You got us good,” thought tens of millions of Americans sitting in their large single-family homes with swimming pools.

Not all of Putin’s published animal photos are so macho in nature. This one must have slipped by the Kremlin:
