Like Jack Nicholson said of Tom Cruise’s character in “A Few Good Men,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi can’t seem to handle the truth.

Pelosi exhibited unmitigated chutzpa during a meltdown on the House floor Friday, ignoring protocol when confronting U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, R-Pa., while he spoke, then chasing him down in the chamber after he completed his remarks, Fox News reported.

The brouhaha erupted while the House was debating a bill to address the border crisis. Marino questioned the Democratic Party’s actions when it controlled Congress and the White House.

“Under the leadership of their former leader [Pelosi], when in 2009 and 2010, they had the House, the Senate and the White House, and knew this problem existed,” Marino said. “They didn’t have the strength to go after it back then. But now are trying to make a political issue out of it.”

The comments infuriated Pelosi, who walked in view of the House camera to cross the aisle and confront Marino, according to video posted by Fox News.

Pelosi did not have a microphone, so it’s unclear what exactly she was barking about, but Marino’s response could be heard clearly.

“It’s true, madam leader, I did the research on it,” he said. “You might want to try it. You might want to try it, madam leader. Do the research on it. Do the research. I did it. That’s one thing that you don’t do.”

Several Republicans sitting behind Marino were visibly surprised at Pelosi’s actions. That’s when the House’s presiding officer, Rep. Randy Hultgren, R-Ill., told Marino to follow proper decorum by addressing the chair, not a fellow member.

“Well, it works both ways,” Marino replied.

After Marino’s time expired, the video shows Pelosi storming across the chamber, wagging her finger at the Republican in a condescending manner.

Marino later took to Twitter to add commentary to his encounter with a rabid Pelosi, saying the high-browed Democrat called him an “insignificant person.”
