Pro-abortion Pelosi says she’s a ‘lioness’ protecting kids; wants to let in even more illegal minors

She may not be a “momma grizzly,” but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi compared herself to a “lioness” this week when it comes to kids.

This coming from a woman the Vatican said must be denied communion under the law of the Catholic Church because of her unwavering support for abortion.

“As you probably know by now, that when it comes to the children from my standpoint, I’m like a lioness,” Pelosi said Thursday, speaking about the tens of thousands of unaccompanied Central American children crossing illegally into the United States, according to CNS News. “Just don’t mess with the children, OK?”

Seldom does a politician so glaringly show a loss of touch with reality than Pelosi did during Thursday’s press conference, where the Democrat ignored that she has spent much of her career making it easy to kill unborn children.

And in a move that would only add to the burgeoning humanitarian crisis that has overwhelmed border control officials, Pelosi called for expanding the law that allows Central America children to stay in the country by including minors from Mexico.

“Quite frankly, I would rather they treat the Mexican kids the way they treat the non-contiguous country kids,” she said.

According to The Independent Voter Network, under U.S. law, unaccompanied Mexican children “are returned immediately, but children from a non-contiguous nation, such as those in Central America, have a different process.” That process, the network reported, is quite involved.

“The children must be turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services which is in charge of their care, finds them safe housing, and apprises them of their legal rights as their immigration cases are decided,” the network reported. “Deportation proceedings can take time as immigration courts are generally backed up.”

Pelosi echoed the National Catholic Conference of Bishops, which said, “to send these children back would be like sending them into a burning building.”
