Joy Behar, a former co-host of “The View,” slammed another former co-host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, when asked to comment on Rosie O’Donnell’s possible return to the daytime talk show.
Behar sat down with CNN host Don Lemon Wednesday night and said bringing Rosie back will give the show a ratings boost, and then addressed remarks Hassellbeck made about the move — the clashes between O’Donnell and Hasselbeck are legendary.
“I think that was kind of, well, below the belt to say that she spits in the face of the military,” Behar said. “It’s kind of a nasty thing to say about somebody who is basically a good person.”

After taking the prerequisite jab at Fox News, she called on Hasselbeck to explain herself for the “hatefilled remark.”
“She goes on Fox…everything is fiction on Fox anyway, what am I talking about,” Behar said as she stopped herself.
Behar went on to say the “dynamics changed” on “The View” after some of the original co-hosts left — she was an original — giving the impression that there could be some underlying animosity there.
