Chick-fil-A shows haters how to have respect

police-officer-kevin-jordan-griffin-policeChick-fil-A is putting its money where its mouth is once again, proving that they don’t just give lip service to Christian values.

Last week, a local franchise mourned with the town in Griffin, Georgia for a respected police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Officer Kevin Jordan, father of seven and Army vet, was shot five times in the back while trying to make an arrest at a local Waffle House, according to Mad World News.

The company placed a sign in its drive-thru window telling customers that it would suspend service while Jordan’s funeral procession was traveling past the restaurant, in respect for the fallen.

Chik-fil-a sign

The sign read:

“Chick-Fil-A of Griffin Dwarf House will suspend all transactions as the funeral processional for Officer Kevin Jordan passes our location Monday afternoon, June 9th. Thank you for helping us pay respect to our fallen officer.”

The Chick-fil-A company, known for standing behind its founder’s faith, in part by closing the doors on Sundays, has been the target of unfair bashing from liberals for years. When president, Dan Cathy answered a question honestly about his personal religious beliefs on same-sex marriage, progressives went out of their way to smear the chain as homophobic.

Conservatives and Christians came to Chick-fil-A’s defense in what became a public battle that included “support Chick-fil-A” days to counter leftists call for a ban.

Closing shop while a funeral passes is a gesture not often practiced anymore in today’s fast-paced business environment. The liberals could find a way to spin it into something evil, but the town of Griffin will likely see it for what it is.
