The idea that the former chief of the Exempt Division of the Internal Revenue Service had lost all her emails due to a computer crash in January, 2009, and that 13 months of investigation went by before Congress was notified, proved ripe fodder for ridicule across America. CNN’s chief national correspondent gladly participated in the frolic.
