Dana Loesch crushes Dem activist for ‘anti-Christian bigotry’

Controversy continues on the screen and behind the scenes over the future of two North Carolina brothers whose cable network reality show was cut after their belief in traditional marriage became widely known.

danaloeschjessicaehrlich0518On the air, conservative talks show host Dana Loesch took on Democrat strategist Jessica Ehrlich on “The Kelly File” on Friday, upbraiding Ehrlich’s “anti-Christian bigotry” for her attacks on brothers David and Jason Benham.

The Benham brothers were slated to star in an HGTV reality show called “Flip it Forward” – which would show families finding dream homes within their price range – until a leftist website publicized video of David Benham leading a prayer rally outside the Democrat National Convention in Charlotte in 2012.

On May 7, HGTV canceled without explanation, though it was clear to the Benhams that the network had been bullied by gay activists because the brothers oppose homosexual marriages and other elements of the gay agenda.

In her attacks, Ehrlich called the Benhams “political activists with an extreme agenda.”

Loesch was having none of it. The Benhams, she said, had continued helping the families that were to be featured on the show even after HGTV canceled it.

“I just don’t understand the anti-Christian bigotry,” she told Ehrlich. “I think the world’s big enough for us all, don’t you think?”

Cue the fireworks. Even “Kelly File” guest host Martha MacCallum was knocked a little off stride. Check out the video here.

Meanwhile Friday, the Benhams’ bank, SunTrust, announced that it was restoring the Benhams’ real estate listings.

The bank said Benham Real Estate listings had been pulled earlier by a third party vendor, but that was in error.

“SunTrust supports the rights of all Americans to fully exercise their freedoms granted under the Constitution, including those with respect to free speech and freedom of religion,” a bank spokeswoman said.

Gotta love that “including” part. Really.
