If Joyce Carol Oates thought a couple of strategically placed question marks would protect her from a wave of criticism, the liberal author missed her mark.
While tweeting her review of the novel “Horses of God,” a book based on the 2003 suicide bombings of Casablanca’s Hotel Farah, Oates included this vile offering:
We are so very superior to the “suicide-bomber” cult–are we? US does not transform young vulnerable hopeless into human weapons of war?

Clearly, Oates is suggesting there is a moral equivalency between members of the U.S. military and Islamic extremists. An assessment that did not escape the notice of Twitter users, to include those who have served this great country.
