A Texas woman who kept hearing strange noises in her home was startled to find a 12’ python lounging in her bathroom when she opened the door.
A terribly shaken Veronica Rodriguez of College Station had left her back door open for a few minutes, which is how the escaped pet manage to slither inside. She immediately slammed the door and called police, who eventually managed to capture the reptile inside a city trash can, the Bryan-College Station Eagle reported. Animal Control picked it up next morning.
Toby Hibbitts, amphibian curator from Texas A&M University said escaped snakes usually search for a place where they can maintain a comfortable body temperature, which is why the python chose the bathroom.
