At a nature reserve in Kenya, onlookers were treated to a mother elephant rescuing her six-month-old baby. Recent rains had swollen the river crossing, and the current proved too vigorous for the youngster, Ma’ariv newspaper reported.
But renowned for their sense of community, assistance was swiftly forthcoming, and the elephants nestled and nudged the baby forwards, until all were safely across.
