When asked whether the Obama administration has additional knowledge on Benghazi that the American people are unaware of, National Security Adviser Susan Rice answered with a resounding “dang if I know.”
During an appearance Wednesday at a foreign policy lunch in Washington, D.C., Rice was asked by PBS journalist Judy Woodruff about what can be expected from the House select committee on Benghazi, according to The Daily Caller.
“What more is there that the administration has done or said that we’re not aware of?” Woodruff asked.

“Dang if I know,” Rice replied. “I mean, honestly. We — the administration has produced, I think, 25,000 pages of documents or 25,000 individual documents. They have supported, participated in, contributed to the investigation of seven, I think, different committees.”
A remark that gives new meaning to the words “support” and “contribute,” in light of the stonewalling the administration regularly engages in.
As U.N. ambassador at the time of the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Rice went on five Sunday talk shows days later to tell the world that the incident was the result of an anti-Muslim video — a claim that has since been proven to be false.
Speaker John Boehner was prompted to call for a select committee after an email obtained by Judicial Watch through a FOIA request showed the White House had withheld documents from congressional investigators.
But when pressed Wednesday on whether there may be more to learn, Rice said, “It is hard to imagine what further will come of yet another committee.”
