NRA members fire back at repulsive ‘adorable school shootings’ promo

A stock photo company that peddles allegedly humorous e-greeting cards targeted the National Rifle Association in promotional materials released Tuesday, but NRA members weren’t laughing.

The company,, published a series of photos as satirical cover art for specialty publications, including one for a fictitious “NRA Magazine” that showed an attractive young woman with her finger on the trigger of a mounted machine gun and the headline “Who says school shootings can’t be adorable?”

That was a little too cute for NRA members.

The gun-grabbers constantly push the lie that groups like the NRA and its pro-Second Amendment stance are responsible for outbreaks of violence like school shootings when the exact opposite is true.

What’s really disturbing about “promotions” like this is that companies like are in business to make money, which means catering to the public.

So when it pushes a misperception — that the NRS somehow finds school shootings to be adorable — it’s not only reinforcing it, it also is so confident that it thinks it’s going to make money doing so.

And it ignores the truth that’s been stated thousands of times over the years: The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

We all know the answer to that.
