An Oregon man in search of marijuana turned to the most unlikely of places to acquire it.
A 911 dispatcher in Washington County, Oregon received a call earlier this month from a man looking for a place to buy some marijuana — the state permits the use of medical marijuana, but recreational use is still illegal.
A transcript of the call, as reported by KATU:
Man: Where can I get some marijuana?
911: Excuse me?
Man: Where can I buy some marijuana this morning?
911: Do you realize you called the police department?
Man: No I didn’t. That’s very interesting. Well, let me ask you the same question. (long pause) It’s a legitimate question.
911: Which question is that?
Man: Where can I buy some marijuana this morning?
911: I would have no idea, sir.
Man: You would have no idea? Alright thank you.
911: You’re welcome.

Twitter outrage: ‘Our society is twisted’
As noted by Breitbart News, the man called at 9:41 p.m., which is not “morning” by any stretch of the imagination.
With America ushering in the “age of cannabis,” incidents like this may become the norm as a stoned society muddles its way through the fog of daily life.
