Conservative columnist Ann Coulter is the latest to offer her slam dunk response to the “hashtag activism” trend.
Last week, Michelle Obama’s tweet addressing the kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls triggered vigorous debate, criticism and even ridicule over whether social media campaigns could make a difference.
On Sunday, Coulter tweeted:

As for hashtag activism, conservative columnist George Will said on “Fox News Sunday,” “It’s an exercise in self-esteem.”
