A Cokato, Minn. mom reluctantly parted with an unused crib at a garage sale this April.
The buyer, craftsman Gerald Kumpula, has a wood and metal shop in his garage, where he recently began converting headboards, footboards, and the like into benches, MyFox9 KMSP reported.
On the ride home from Valerie Watts’ house, Kumpula’s wife explained to him the tragedy behind the unused baby crib and the stillborn baby that never got to sleep in it.
A week later, he returned the refurbished item back to Watts, in a gesture of random kindness sure to bring a tear to the eye.
