The twin brothers who had their pilot program “Flip it Forward” canceled by HGTV because of their pro-life and pro-traditional marriage views responded in an interview Thursday night, saying there is “an agenda that seeks to silence men and women of faith.”
David and Jason Benham‘s troubles began after a left-wing blog published a report that claimed David was an “anti-gay, anti-choice extremist,” according to CNN. Shortly thereafter, HGTV “decided not to move forward” with the show.
“Never have I ever spoken against homosexuals, as individuals, and gone against them,” the brother responded. “I speak about an agenda. And that’s really what the point of this is — is that there is an agenda that is seeking to silence the voices of men and women of faith.”

Jason Benham told CNN host Erin Burnett that HGTV knew of their beliefs a year and a half ago, and discussed it with them.
“They got to know us a little better and then they made a judgment call, recognizing that David and I have no hate in our heart for anyone, he said. “We’ve been running a successful real estate company for the last 11 years and we help all people. There is no discrimination.”
“We love all people,” his brother added.
Much like what happened with Phil Robertson, of the hit show “Duck Dynasty,” the brothers say HGTV caved to the pressure brought on by the media.
According to CNN, a campaign called #FlipThisDecision has been launched to have the show reinstated, started by Faith Driven Consumer, the same group behind a campaign that supported Phil Robertson.
