Charlie Crist’s Revolving-Door Staff Underlines GOP’s Attacks: As Eric Conrad exits Charlie Crist’s campaign stage left, questions have to be asked about what’s in the belly of the beast. Conrad is a committed liberal Democrat. He worked for Enroll Florida, spreading the message of Obamacare. Conrad was a staffer for the Florida Democratic Party and an old Barack Obama hand. Senate panel won’t hear in-state tuition bill, weakening its chances: The Senate Appropriations Committee will not hear a proposal seeking to extend in-state college tuition rates to undocumented students, Sen. Joe Negron announced Thursday. “After careful consideration, I have decided not to place Senate Bill 1400 on the Appropriations Committee agenda for our meeting on April 22, 2014,” Negron said in a statement. Anti-bullying bill supported by Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross likely to fail: The Florida Legislature has once again proven unkind to Stephen Ross – or at least uncooperative. A year after his stadium renovation plan died in Tallahassee, Ross’ anti-bullying bill appears to have suffered the same fate. “I think we’re going to have to work on this next year,” said Sen. Parent dress code: Fla. school officials want to tell adults what to wear: One Broward County School Board Member has taken her official position to the stratosphere, suggesting an appropriate dress code for parents picking up or dropping off their kids at school. Board member Rosalind Osgood ”said it’s unlikely the district could write or enforce a parent dress code,” according to the Sun Sentinel, “but she and board member Robin Bartleman agreed principals could address the issue during Parent Night.” Read more
