An Ohio man forced to publicly hold a sign that reads “I AM A BULLY” feels more like a victim.
“The judge destroyed me,” Edmond Aviv, 62, said, according to The Associated Press. “This isn’t fair at all.”
South Euclid Municipal Court Judge Gayle Williams-Byers ordered Aviv to display the sign Sunday as part of his sentence for bullying a neighbor and her disabled children for 15 years — for five hours, which equates to one hour for every three years of bullying.

Aviv pleaded no contest to a fourth-degree misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, as related to the case, Cleveland.com reported.
The neighbor, Sandra Prugh, has two grown adopted children suffering from developmental disabilities, cerebral palsy and epilepsy, according to reports.
Examples of Aviv’s alleged bullying include calling Prugh an ethnic slur, spitting on her and even rubbing dog feces on a wheelchair ramp.
The complete wording of the sign was chosen by Williams-Byers, and reads:
“I AM A BULLY! I pick on children that are disabled, and I am intolerant of those that are different from myself. My actions do not reflect an appreciation for the diverse South Euclid community that I live in.”
In addition to the public humiliation, Cleveland.com reported that Aviv was sentenced to serve 15 days in jail, seven months on probation and 100 hours of community service, plus undergo counseling.
Aviv was also required to write a letter of apology to Prugh.
“I want to express my sincere apology for acting irrationally towards your house and the safety of your children,” he wrote. “I understand my actions could have caused harm but at that time I was not really thinking about it.”
