Hillary talks trash in Vegas, ducks shoe instead of questions

Hillary Clinton had a scary moment Thursday during a Las Vegas speech when someone threw an object at her on the stage.

The Mandalay Bay convention center crowd gasped as the former secretary of state ducked when the object flew by, according to local ABC affiliate KTNV.

A woman in a cocktail dress ran toward the stage to throw what was described as a shoe wrapped in paper, witnesses told the TV station.

What was that, a bat?” Clinton said, relatively unfazed. “Is that someone throwing something at me? Is that a part of Cirque du Soleil?”

Clinton continued to adlib while the woman was taken into custody.

“I didn’t know solid waste management was so controversial,” she said. “Thank goodness she didn’t play softball like I did.”

The speech was for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries and was one of many Clinton has given all over the country, KTNV reported.
